About the event

Welcome to the Second Annual Iron Hand Homebrew Festival 2024!

Come join us at Iron Hand Brewing, LLC for a day filled with delicious homebrewed beer, wine, cider, and mead. We will be hosting our Second Annual Homebrew Festival on April 6, 2024. To the best of our knowledge this is the only Homebrew festival anywhere in Alabama and is the perfect opportunity to sample and judge the best that homebrewers from Alabama and the larger Gulf Coast have to offer. Last year there were more than 50 diferent styles to sample and this year is slated to have even more!

The festival will be held in the lot located at 208 N. Joachim Street, directly across State Street from Iron Hand Brewing. State Street will be blocked off for easy transit between the festival and Iron Hand, and there will be vendors set up on State Street and in the pub for your added entertainment.

This is a rain or shine event! Admission to the Homebrew Festival area will open at 1 pm with sampling and voting continuing until 4 pm. Votes will be tallied and winners announced beginning at 4:30 pm. Throughout the day and evening Iron Hand Brewing will be open, with our full bar and food menu.

Sample a wide variety of craft beers from local homebrewers, and enjoy tasty food from our kitchen. Sit back, relax, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere as you sip on your new found favorite brews.

This year's Homebrew Festival is being held for the benefit of Camp SMILE.  Camp SMILE is hosted by United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile.  It is a residential summer camp for individuals with disabilities (ages 5 – 50) and their siblings. Campers not only have the chance to participate in physical activities like kayaking, fishing, and horseback riding; they also meet others whose abilities and life experiences are similar to their own.

Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out, the Second Annual Iron Hand Homebrew Festival is the place to be. Mark your calendars and get ready for a day of beer-filled fun and help us support this fantastic program.
