Iron Hand Beer List
Rebecca's First Amber Ale
American Amber Ale
This is a refinement of the recipe for the first beer that our founder Rebecca ever homebrewed and the first beer brewed at Iron Hand. It is a classic Amber Ale, brewed with Maris Otter and crystal malts and balanced with Magnum hops.
Detonti's Yellow Fever Blonde Ale
Blonde Ale
In 1704 a Yellow Fever outbreak claimed our namesake Henri "Iron Hand" DeTonti. This brew honors a nearly forgotten Mobile, Alabama founding father. This approachable ale uses American barley with a touch of German hops, to giving dry medium bodied feel with a slight malty sweetness.
Pumpkin Poltregeist
American Barleywine with Fruit and Spices
It's all Hallow's Eve! With an early October release date, we created this extra dark and high gravity American barleywine in order to extract as much heat from the locally grown Ghost Peppers as possible. With hints of jack-o-lantern meat and pumpkin spice, this Halloween brew has enough heat to live up-to the poltergeist name, but subtle enough for you to to come back for seconds.
Barely Gluten
Alternative Grain Ale
Made with all certified gluten free ingredients! We use white sorghum and dark Belgian candy sugar. This beer is lightly hopped, to produce an easy drinking, dark, gluten reduced beer.
Hop-Lah IPA
New England/Hazy IPA
Do you ever have extra grain and hops just laying around with no plan? This was our plan. Made with an eclectic mix grain, paired with a generous dose of Idaho 7 and Citra hops, we present a juicy and hazy IPA.
Lost Ring Porter
English Porter
Our signature English Porter, named for a wedding ring lost while cultivating local hops. This Porter uses Maris Otter base malt with brown and pale chocolate malts and balanced with a mix of traditional East Kent Golding and locally grown hops.
Marzen - Octoberfest
Marzen
Still celebrating a wedding from 1810! This Marzen, or March Beer is made with Munich and pilsner malts and balanced with German Tettnang land race hops. This special annual beer will be released in early September.

MBRD Black and Bruiseberry Blonde Ale
Fruited Blonde Ale
Brewed and release0d as a benefit for Mobile Bay Roller Derby (MBRD), this uses a base of our blonde ale with a large dose of blackberry and blueberry puree in the fermentation. Hazy and slightly tart from the berries. A tribute to our local roller girls.
